Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Teacher Marking Assistant account and every piece of data tied to it at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Have a subscription? Cancel it first (Settings → Subscription, or your app-store subscriptions page) so you aren't billed again. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Stripe or app-store subscription.

Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app (recommended)

This is the fastest route and removes everything instantly:

Open Teacher Marking Assistant and sign in.
Go to Settings (the gear icon).
Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom and tap Delete My Account.
Confirm your identity (re-enter your password, or sign in again for Google / Microsoft / Apple accounts).
Type DELETE and tap Delete Account.

The app then erases your sign-in, your server-side data, the copy stored on this device, and the backup folder it created in your Google Drive or OneDrive, and signs you out.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address tied to your account and we'll delete it for you within 30 days (usually much sooner):

Please send the request from the email address you signed up with so we can verify ownership. We may ask one follow-up question to confirm it's really you before deleting.

What gets deleted

Payment records held by Stripe	Retained by Stripe	Kept by our payment processor to meet financial/tax-record obligations, then deleted per their retention policy. We delete our own copy.

How long it takes

In-app deletion is instant. Email requests are actioned within 30 days. Cached copies in backups or logs are purged on our normal rotation (no longer than 90 days).
